Cancer Coaching with Tina

For over 25 years, Tina Staley has worked closely with cancer patients, caregivers and their families. She has served as a cancer coach to help them navigate through the medical system and their cancer journey, all while helping them maintain the highest possible quality of life. Through her work as part of the research team at Duke Cancer Institute, Tina studied effective psychosocial interventions in order to visibly improve hopefulness in dealing with the cancer experience. This research was the subject of a documentary film called What Love Is: The Duke Pathfinders 50 by acclaimed filmmaker Ted Bogosian. She has founded and worked with cancer organizations nationwide such as; Cancer Guides, Valley Angels, Pathfinders and Reimagine. Cancer Coaching sessions with Tina are provided locally in Denver, Colorado and nationally (via Skype or telephone). 


What's Included? 

Cancer coaching sessions are recommended on a weekly basis. These weekly sessions with Tina include a 55-minute session (in-person in Denver or by phone nationally), plus a 10-minute check-in to review progress or any specific problem.

Typical subjects covered during weekly sessions include:

  • How to deal with fear and anxiety
  • Using mental health tools to maintain the highest possible quality of life
  • How to make time for self-care
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with your family and caregivers
  • Nutrition guidance and suggestions
  • How to prepare for doctor’s appointments

Cost:  $175 per week
